Khira Poda Pitha is a traditional Odia dessert made by slow-roasting fresh chhena (khira) with sugar or jaggery until it forms a caramelised crust. Lightly scented with cardamom, the pitha has a rich, creamy centre and a smoky, toasted outer layer. Soft inside and slightly crisp outside, it’s a delicacy often prepared during festivals and special occasions.
