Nolen Gurer Patishapta is a classic Bengali dessert, especially popular during the winter season. This was extremely underwhelming. The patishpata wraps are meant to be thin and soft – like crepes. These were thick – stodgy – hard. I had the same problem with her Doodh Puli last week. There’s a certain delicacy associated with these specialties. Again in that order the Bhapa Sandesh was excellent. So clearly it is not a taste issue. It is handling the puli and patishapta batter.
